Types of Cigar Humidors
Desktop Humidors
These types of humidors are generally kept stationery in one location; however, they are portable in theory. Desktop humidors usually feature finely crafted wood extriors and spanish cedar interiors.
Glass Top Humidors
These particularly heavy models are generally kept stationery in one location; however, they are portable in theory. They typically feature glass tops with exteriors created from polished wood, marble, or leather.
Travel Humidors
These are portable models that generally used for travel, business, or personal pleasure. It is typically capable of holding between one and forty different cigars.
Cabinet Humidors
These type of humidors resemble pieces of furniture, and their design is often created to match the existing decor in a person’s home. You can typically hold between 1,000 and 5,000 cigars in these types of humidors.
Commercial Humidors
These humidors are used by cigar shops in order to maintain the proper humidity of their cigar inventory. Commercial humidors can also be used by anybody with large cigar collections.
Room Humidors
These types are most commonly seen in cigar bars or related stores. An entire room is converted into the type of environment where cigars can be stored. Larger cigar shops may have an entire floor dedicated to acting as humidors for their stock.
Humidor Kits
These are kits designed for new cigar enthusiasts. They typically come with many of the things one would need to properly care for a new cigar collection. Cigar humidor kits will typically include a humidor, a cigar cutter , a cigar ashtray and sometimes a cigar lighter and other cigar accessories.
